At AFCEA West 2025, innovation meets the frontline of defense, and the need for agile and adaptable solutions has never been greater. Latent AI is proud to join US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard leaders to demonstrate cutting-edge technology that can make all the difference.

We’re bringing cutting-edge advancements from the US Navy’s Project AMMO, where we achieved a 4x faster inference and a jaw-dropping 97% reduction in model update time. These improvements empower warfighters to stay ahead of rapidly changing threats. With edge AI, processing data at the source reduces information latency and the reliance on cloud connectivity.

To start, Latent AI is proud to announce our collaboration with HP Inc., where we’re pushing the limits of the Z by HP suite of AI workstations to demonstrate just how powerful these machines can be for AI-driven defense solutions. Throughout the show, we’ll showcase the unparalleled capabilities of HP’s high-performance workstations at HP’s booth #1515 in the Z section, highlighting the incredible speed, precision, and adaptability they bring to AI applications in the field.

And it gets even better: We’ve partnered with GovExec to film a live demo of our cutting-edge technology during the show. Don’t miss the chance to see these groundbreaking innovations in action and get an inside look at how Latent AI and HP Inc. are shaping the future of operational capabilities.

Next, we are pleased to be joined by Ret. Rear Admiral Doug Small, a strategic advisor to Latent AI. You can request a meeting at West 2025 with Admiral Small or any of the Latent AI team members through the Latent AI event page.

Updating models on tactical devices in the field

In the field, conditions change instantly—terrain shifts, adversaries adapt, and the environment never stops evolving. For warfighters to stay ahead, their AI capabilities need to evolve just as quickly. That’s why Latent AI has developed an AI tactical kit that empowers warfighters to fine-tune AI models in the field.

What’s new with this demo:

At West 2025, we will demonstrate how quickly AI models can be updated to detect new target objects and operationalize at the tactical edge. Using an HP Zbook Power, we will highlight the ability to adapt a model within its life cycle without network connectivity or cloud access. We will use minimal network bandwidth to showcase how Latent AI accelerates the model fielding cycle to deploy edge AI onto embedded devices or smartphones.

Assistive labeling: Using embeddings to inspect data quality and integrity

Performant AI models need to be trained with high-quality, labeled data. Latent AI demonstrates how assistive labeling used with LEIP Design helps operators quickly cluster and discriminate sensor data for fast and accurate labeling. When troves of data are collected, our technology reduces the cognitive burden on operators by highlighting and prioritizing regions of interest with possible target objects. View an on-demand demo.

Protecting model validity through watermarking

Protecting model integrity from adversarial tampering is a major security concern for AI everywhere. Latent AI showcases LEIP Optimize’s capabilities, enabling developers to add a unique digital signature to their pre-trained models and deploy them without additional retraining. Watermarking with LEIP Optimize allows organizations to track ownership, support data-model provenance, and safeguard production models against theft and tampering while supporting the integrity of the AI supply chain. Read more about watermarking in our blog. See an example on demand.

Don’t miss seeing these innovations up close at the Latent AI booth #4518 and the HP Inc. booth #1515. Schedule a custom demo with Latent AI here. If you have not already, register today to join us at the San Diego Convention Center from Tuesday, Jan 28, 2025 through Thursday, Jan 30, 2025.
