Tactical AI solution from Latent AI, Dark Hive and Ditto.

SOF Week 2025 is here, and Latent AI is kicking things off with can’t-miss opportunities. First, join us at The Honor Foundation Pre-Game Reception on May 6th for networking, insights, and a panel of veteran and industry leaders sharing strategies for post-service success. In addition, we’re partnering with Dark Hive and Ditto to showcase a powerful tactical AI solution designed to deliver superior situational awareness for Special Operations Forces (SOF) in denied, disrupted, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) environments.

Our integrated tactical AI solution creates an instant network, enabling short-range drones to scout ahead and send detection data directly to operators’ ATAK devices. Ditto’s smart networking seamlessly syncs mission-critical data over any available transport—Bluetooth, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, LAN, MANET, or SATCOM—ensuring reliable connectivity. Dark Hive’s drones transmit clear images to ATAK, where Latent AI’s computer vision models provide real-time intelligence.

At the core of this solution is the Latent AI Ruggedized Toolkit (RTK), which pairs military-grade hardware with our Latent AI Efficient Inference Platform (LEIP) software. This allows operators to modify, retrain, and deploy AI models directly in the field, adapting to evolving mission needs.

What to see at SOF Week

Our live demo showcases the combined power of Dark Hive’s YELLOWJACKET MK1 drone, Ditto’s mobile edge connectivity, and Latent AI’s ultra-fast AI. You’ll see the YELLOWJACKET stream computer vision data to an ATAK device via Ditto’s mobile apps. Then, we’ll demonstrate how the Latent AI RTK enables operators to fine-tune and retrain the model on-site, redeploy it, and improve inference results in a second drone run.

Why it matters for SOF operators

This tactical AI solution is purpose-built for the complex, high-stakes environments SOF operators navigate. By delivering real-time intelligence through an always-on network, it provides unmatched situational awareness amidst hidden threats, such as concealed adversaries or obscured terrain, ensuring operators stay one step ahead. In scenarios involving civilian presence, where distinguishing between friends, foes, and bystanders is critical, our AI-driven insights enable precise and informed decisions under pressure. When split-second choices determine mission success or failure, the seamless integration of Dark Hive drones, Ditto’s resilient connectivity, and Latent AI’s edge models empowers operators to act with confidence. Local data processing and the ability to retrain models in the field further maximize tactical advantage, keeping operators agile and effective in dynamic DDIL conditions.
